I know, I know, I promised a post about sweet potatoes today. What can I say? I’m going to miss my own deadline. The post is already half-written, so I’ll have it for you tomorrow. Really.
For now, can I appease you with a photo of a cute little butterfly? I think it’s some kind of skipper, though I’m not sure. Anyone have an idea?

It’s wonderful to see the butterflies returning. It’s especially fun this year, since the garden didn’t even exist last spring. So far, I’ve spotted several species of butterflies, some dragonflies, a female ruby-throated hummingbird and — boo — mosquitoes. I’m thrilled to see them all. Well, except for the blo0d-suckers. Now I know what will be top of my to-do list this weekend: clean the gutters!
