Peas, in bloom

by Cristina on May 20, 2012

Today was one of those never-sit-still kind of days.

I delivered some extra seedlings to a friend who’s excited to plant her first vegetable garden, helped repair the deer fence around my mom’s garden (Again! Those @#&* deer!), and planted 36 tomato seedlings. It was a busy day. A wonderful, mid-May, crazy-in-the-garden day. But, don’t worry. I did remember to stop and smell the roses… er… admire the pea blossoms…

Christina, or if there are two of you swapping the rewards & duties, however, I am enjoying these blogs and feel as if I am learning a ‘dab’ from them. I am sending today to ask a question and to tell you something you may/maynot know. 1- I am getting two(2) of these matters is why I think there are 2 of you, so is it you & your better half, or what/whom? 2- I would also like to know when do you start your sweet potatoes, and do you start them from vines, eyes or sprouts? Thank you, and will wait your answer.

Hi Alice! Thanks for the comment. I’m so glad to hear that you’re enjoying the blog!

It’s just me in the garden and at the keyboard. I try to get my pup to help, but all she wants to do is eat the snap peas and broccoli plants (she’s a strange pup).

As for the sweet potatoes… I actually published a couple posts about starting sweets earlier this year. Here are the links:
